    Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. We are excited to announce the creation of a new solution, the SYSVIEW Software Solutions Report, available for your use today as part of MRI: Mainframe Resource Intelligence, an assessment tool revealing the as-is state vs desired outcomes for opex, security, process and performance.

    Enhancing the Value for Your Broadcom Investment

    This new solution will provide you with the tools to get more performance, more reliability, more security, and more value from your investment in the SYSVIEW product. This new MRI assessment:

    • Is provided at no additional cost to our SYSVIEW Performance Management customers.
    • Provides you quick access to SYSVIEW announcements, news, and resources.
    • Provides you at a glance and detailed views of the SYSVIEW installations across your enterprise so you can easily understand what version(s) you may be running, if they are in support, out of support, or nearing end of support.
    • Provides a detailed breakdown of the features of SYSVIEW and guidance on how to better leverage these features to get more insight into your network health, performance, and security.
    • Will give you detailed best practices guidance on how you can configure SYSVIEW to be more secure, more resource efficient and to ensure that SYSVIEW is configured optimally so that you can get the full value from our solution.

    How do I get an assessment?

    Simply go to https://mri.broadcom.com, create an account, and select the tile for the SYSVIEW Software Solutions Report. You will download the MRI toolkit, which contains the JCL and scripts required to collect your SYSVIEW configuration and feature usage information into a plain text file that you can review, if you wish, prior to uploading the data to the MRI system.

    After that, simply upload the data and the MRI system will generate your assessment for you.

    What do I do if I have questions about my assessment?

    If you have trouble running the toolkit or uploading the data to MRI, our support organization is ready to assist you. You can open an issue at https://support.broadcom.com.

    If you have questions about the assessment results, use the "Ask an Expert" link, which appears on every page of the SYSVIEW Software Solutions Report. This link will allow you to email the SYSVIEW team, and we will be happy to answer your questions, or even meet with you and walk through your assessment with you to help you understand the assessment and its recommendations.
