Just a reminder to the DCD Community that on June 1, 2019, we announced the availability of DCD v3.0 IR1, the first of our feature releases in the v3.0 program.  This release is very exciting as it introduces a few new features that we will continue to develop over the next few months.

    • DCD 3.0 introduces an updated product repository, that while not initially apparent to most users, will provide higher performance and reduced storage impact. More importantly, it will provide support for future planned features, reports and integration. This change in the underlying data store for DCD means migration is required for customers on DCD v2.x code.  Included in this release is a utility to migrate CA Data Content Discovery Version 2.0 data into the CA Data Content Discovery Version 3.0 repository. Customers on CA Data Content Discovery Version 3.0 initial release do not need to migrate, as they already have the updated repository.

    • A new tool called Expression Builder, which enables customers to better match internal security policy definitions of sensitive data classes, providing the ability to create custom classifier expressions, as well as full support for logic 'AND' and 'OR' conditions.

    • New automated scan capabilities designed to reduce manual intervention from a dedicated resource. The 'Autoscan' function provides a constantly evaluated policy that can automatically include new datasets matching policy criteria, including the new Expressions mentioned above. Customers can analyze access to sensitive data by Group or Role, making it easier to understand Least Access risk and aid in satisfying auditors.

We encourage all DCD customers to download the DCD v3.0 IR1 code and begin using the new features and enjoy the performance improvements and new automation. We also welcome all to join us on our End of Sprint calls to provide feedback on these and other features as we continue to rapidly develop DCD.
