You can run up to 8 instances of CA 7 per LPAR. Each CA 7 instance can have its own CA Datacom/AD MUF. Instance number are CA71 - CA78.
Now, this can be a bit tricky if you have a single instance of CA 7 running jobs across multiple LPARs. Let me give an example.
_____LPAR1_____ ____LPAR2____ ____LPAR3____
CA71onl CA72onl CA73onl
CA71muf CA72muf CA73muf
CA71icom CA72icom CA73icom
CA71icom CA71icom
CA72icom CA72icom
CA73icom CA73icom
--------
In the above diagram you have a CA71 instance of CA 7 and ICOM running on LPAR1, along with a CA72 and CA73 ICOM. Therefore you can only run 5 more instance of CA 7 (CA74onl - CA78onl and their ICOM task).
The same apply to LPAR2. You have a CA72 instance of CA7 and ICOM running, along with a CA71 and CA73 ICOM. Therefore you can run 5 more instance of CA 7 (CA74onl - CA78onl and their ICOM task).
---
I hope I didn't confuse the matter. But the bottom line is you can run up to 8 instance of CA 7 per LPAR...

HI, i have any questions..
How many CA 7 instances can be defined in a single LPAR?
How many CA Datacom/AD MUF can be defined in a single LPAR in order to manage these CA7 Instances?
Thanks for your support.
