  • 1.  WRITE ONCE user-authorization for z/OS datasets

    Posted Aug 19, 2019 03:36 AM
In times of increasing importance of auditing and compliance we see the need to authorize userids to write data to a dataset but to deny the afterwards manipulation of the written data.

Therefore I'd like to ask the community and CABroadcom support about an approach for a solution of this need. Or, in other words:

How can a WRITE ONCE authorization to z/OS datasets for a userid be realized?

    many thanks!

    Hi Josef,

This one is going to have to be an IDEA (enhancement).

The only thing that will restrict permits are using FOR / UNTIL and Days but nothing that allows a permit such as you are asking.

Can you repost this in IDEATION?

    Cheers,
