Good morning Steve,
z/VM support is included in CA Automation Point by default. At the session definition, you can choose for VM as Console Type and watch the z/VM consoles.
You can use automation and scripts to handle the consoles and write rules to react on the messages received at it..
See here the link to the documentation over the z/VM Consoles:
https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-mainframe-software/intelligent-operations/ca-automation-point/11-6/administrating/establishing-host-sessions/understanding-console-management/z-vm-consoles.html
You could use the vse.scr or mcs.scr scripts as sample to develop your own VM.SCR.. These 'sample' scripts are in the /Program Files (x86)/CA/CA Automation Point/Distrib library located...
If you have any further questions, or run into problems, please contact us again and raise a case at our Mainframe Support website..
Best regards,
Hennie Hermans

Subject: z/VM Sessions In Automation Point
Is anyone currently using an Automation Point Session to monitor a z/VM Console or Log? We would like to monitor several z/VM Guests for error messages, failures, etc.. and take an action through Automation Point. Looking for thoughts and ideas on how to accomplish this at our site.

Thanks,
