    Hi there,

On HE (Gen 8.6) during installation I am getting this error message. In this case a dynamically linked AB is calling a statically linked EAB.

    LINK-EDIT IN PROGRESS
    SYSLIB ALLOCATE ERROR, RC=12
    LINK-EDIT FAILED
    ***** INSTALLATION FAILED *****

So ran install with TIUDEBUG(CDPSR), what's APPLOADC ? Looks like it's looking for lib allocated to APPLOADC. Is that the Compatibility load lib ?

    Thanks.

The Gen install control file contains the DDnames to be used for APPLOAD, presumably yours has APPLOADC specified.  APPLOAD is described in the Gen HE Construction manual, it is for example:
    1. Internal NCAL Load Library for Business System
    2. Referential Integrity Trigger Load Library
    3. Internal NCAL Load Library for Business Systems owning foreign action blocks that are referenced in the load module
    4. External Action Block Load Libraries for the Business System
    5. External Action Block Load Libraries for the Business Systems owning foreign action blocks that are referenced in the load module

    Hi Attila,

    Thank you for your reply.

I was able to get around the problem by allocating an empty lib for DD name APPLOADC that was there in the install control file
So what's the difference between APPLOAD & APPLOADC ? And in which Construction Libraries panel we have to specify APPLOADC libs ?

    Thanks.

Yes, APPLOADC is the DD name for the Compatibility Libraries concatenation.
That means the non-DLL NCAL libraries.

    Hi Teresa,

    Thank you for your reply.

OK...In my case I don't have any Compatibility Libraries mentioned, then from where it got the APPLOADC in the install control file ?

    Specify Internal Compatibility Libraries
    COMMAND ===>

Enter or verify the following library specifications:

    Static non-DLL NCAL modules. . ____________________________________________
    Static non-DLL NCAL listings . ____________________________________________

    Thanks.
