  • 1.  Specifying Path Name in UFINIT

    Posted Mar 26, 2020 06:30 PM
    When specifying the path name for a file on the USS system, can the file name be masked? For example, a customer sends a payroll file with a date/time stamp at the end. Examples: payroll_D200327_T1205067, payroll_D200328_T0156789. Using the example from the manual, can we code the entry so that the arrival of ANY 'payroll' file will demand in jobtest1?

    Interval=0003
    /u/user/system/payroll_*.file,7;TEST=YES;/login master;demand,job=jobtest1;/logoff

    TIA

    Hi Nancy,

    The file being tracked has to be fully qualified and cannot be masked.
