In order to allow you to more closely monitor the security of connections on your network, we've added a new event detector, TCP Security Level Enhanced. This new detector is based off of the TCP Security Level detector but with significant improvements. The protocol field allows more granularity in what connections create alerts. The new detector also supports additional fields available as selection criteria.

PTF SO15088 will enable this new event detector type.

Release notes for this new feature are available on our TechDocs platform.

We have also published a short video demoing this new functionality. The video can be found in the library section of this communities site.

Please take a few moments to submit any ideas for product enhancements you may have, and we invite you to join us in our validate program, which will allow you to participate in live demos, sprint reviews, and help us shape the future of NetMaster. To support this functionality, the Education Department is putting the finish touches on a new web-based training module. The training will feature an overview of Event Detectors and an example that describes how to create a TCPSECE Event Detector.

This online training is approximately 15 minutes long and is coming soon. This training (like all of our web-based training) will be available at no charge to customers on active maintenance.
