  • 1.  New versions of plugins for Code4z

    We are pleased to announce that new versions of Code4z extensions are available.

    You can download Code4z with its latest plugins on Visual Studio Code Marketplace.


    What's new:

    Debugger for Mainframe


    Version 1.1.0 provides support for conditional breakpoints, hitcounts and logpoints for debugging COBOL applications running in a CICS region. The extension is available for free on VS Code marketplace: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=broadcomMFD.debugger-for-mainframe


    COBOL Language Support


    This extension provides syntax awareness capability for COBOL code and copybooks. The new version 0.11.1 allows users to automatically download missing copybooks from mainframe datasets using Zowe CLI z/OSMF profile. This is an open-source project, please visit the GitHub repository to give us feedback or make your own contribution to the project: https://github.com/eclipse/che-che4z-lsp-for-cobol

    Both extensions are also part of Che4z project which allows leveraging the plugins' functionalities also in the Kubernetes native cloud environment or Openshift. New versions of plugins are being released with new Che versions on regular bases.

    Hi,

    Are there any plans to add Rexx support (even if it's just a basic highlighter?). I know a lot of Sysprogs / Sysadmins would be interested in this for VSC. There are already a couple of extensions available on the market place but it would be nice to see one included in this package.

    First, let me apologize for the late answer but we were reviewing the current status of the PoC version of the extension for Rexx support we did some time ago. Would you agree that we share with you this PoC version and you would provide us your feedback?
