COBOL 6.2 compliant.
CA Telon is an application generator productivity tool, which has been helping organizations speed up the application development process and increase programmer productivity by automating tedious and repetitive development tasks.
IBM has announced that IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 4.2.0 will be withdrawn from service on September 30, 2021, and has encouraged clients to plan and start migrating mainframe COBOL products to COBOL v6.x as soon as possible.
CA Telon has components such as
TDF (Telon Development Facility) and other utilities that have been programmed in COBOL v4.2.
The benefits COBOL v6.x brings to producing optimal code, exploiting the latest hardware, and improving COBOL performance without source code changes have led us to work on upgrading CA Telon TDF, and other utility code, to be migrated to COBOL 6.2 and the migration is now complete.
This update has been released as a
maintenance PTFs ("MIGRATION OF CA TELON TDF AND OTHER UTILITIES" and "MIGRATION OF CA TELON COBOL SAMPLE PROGRAMS"), which can be obtained online at Broadcom
Support where you can also utilize the case management system.
