A recent MICS HIPER defect-correction PTF VCA6772 addresses a specific subset of z/OS configuration, those that exploit Encryption and are also interested/concerned with reporting / analysis of the "encryption label" (up to 64 characters).

With the initial support, MICS took a less-impactful approach by adding the LABEL variable, but leaving the VCADAA and VCA_VS NAME statements "off" in the VCAGENIN DETAIL time-span.

For whatever reason, this HIPER PTF changes direction and activates the encryption-label variable, of course, to every DETAIL observation.

And so, for MICS sites that choose not to use SAS COMPRESS (suggestion: DASD is cheaper than CPU), the impact could be significant to increase the VCA DETAIL time-span.  So, possibly consider how important this new SAS 64-character variable is and you might choose to turn it off with MICS database tailoring and save the space, especially those sites not doing encryption or otherwise possibly not interested to report/analyze the new DAAENCKL variables in VCADAA (non-VSAM) and VCA_VS (VSAM).
