The Compliance Event Manager team is pleased to announce our latest enhancements-managing control options and switching policy sets from the UI.

Managing control options and policy changes from the UI simplifies management. Depending on your site's policies and implementation:

    • You no longer need to issue console commands or edit PDS members to edit control options, refresh policy, or switch policy.
    • You no longer need to enter a change request ticket for these policy updates.
    • You no longer need the associated console authority. To ensure only authorized users can perform a refresh or switch, Compliance Event Manager includes granular resource checks to easily permit groups of users different authorizations.

Manage Control Options from the UI
You can now manage listener component control options from the new Control Options page of the UI. Control options define the startup and execution of the listener components. Listener components include Alert, Logger, Monitor, and Warehouse.

You can edit default global configurations for global use across all listener components of the same type, or you can create custom configurations to best suit your site's needs.

For more information, see Manage the Control Options.

Switch Policy Sets from the UI
We have enhanced the Policy Status page of the UI to provide the ability to switch the policy set that a listener component is using to a different policy set.

From the Policy Status page, you can:

    • See at a glance which components are running across multiple LPARs, offering a single pane of glass view.
    • See exactly which policy set a component is running.
    • See the activation date of a policy set to ensure that the latest version is in use.
    • Refresh components to run with changes to the currently active policy set.
    • Switch the policy set that a component is using to a different policy set.

For more information, see Manage the Policy Status.

We encourage all customers to take advantage of these new offerings. Download the Compliance Event Manager PTF LU03547 from Broadcom Support to try them out.

    Thank you!
