The started task for the Compliance Manager database repository must be available for the Event Reports to function.

Compliance Manager can be configured with either a DB2 or Datacom database Repository. Compliance Manager uses the CA LDAP Server to provide access to objects in other databases such as DB2, Datacom or LDAP Directory. For CA Compliance Manager, CA LDAP Server provides access to event information in the DB2 or Datacom repository and access to policy written through the Compliance Manager Web interface. The CA LDAP Server must be started before the Compliance Manager TOMCAT or CHORJBOS web interface server starts.

When the CA LDAP Server starts it will try to connect to the DB2 or Datacom repository database. If the connection fails, message "LDP6027I Unable to connect to the database, continuing to start"  will be issued. The CA LDAP Server will start however any access by the TOMCAT or  CHORJBOS web interface to the DB2 or Datacom repository database  for Event Report information will not be available.

To address the problem the CA LDAP Server will need to be stopped and restarted after the started task associated with the DB2 or Datacom repository database is active.
