    Hello.
I have an issue with Tranrate treshold definition.
    I 'v set it to limit 60 warning 60, duration 15

And messages comes to opslog in 20 minutes interval with warning limit 10

    22:29:00 13FEB GSVC100W (SDCS) SYSTEM SYSTEM TRANRATE * * PROBLEM NORMAL
    22:29:00 13FEB V= 0.133 W= 10.000 P= 10.000 UPPER 00:09:59
    22:29:00 13FEB TESTPOL * * * *
    22:29:00 13FEB Desc='Number of transaction per second '
    22:29:00 13FEB Policy=00123070

    22:39:00 13FEB GSVC100W (SDCS) SYSTEM SYSTEM TRANRATE * * NORMAL PROBLEM
    22:39:00 13FEB V= 17.283 W= 10.000 P= 10.000 UPPER 00:10:00
    22:39:00 13FEB TESTPOL * * * *
    22:39:00 13FEB Desc='Number of transaction per second '
    22:39:00 13FEB Policy=00123070

    22:49:00 13FEB GSVC100W (SDCS) SYSTEM SYSTEM TRANRATE * * PROBLEM NORMAL
    22:49:00 13FEB V= 5.683 W= 10.000 P= 10.000 UPPER 00:09:59
    22:49:00 13FEB TESTPOL * * * *
    22:49:00 13FEB Desc='Number of transaction per second '
    22:49:00 13FEB Policy=00123070

Can you please explain me the metric , how to set it up?
Do I have to change the TYPE from System to TRANSUMM?

Customer is asking to have in 15 minutes interval limit 10 Tranrate - > alarm
    Thank you.

    Jan,
Are you asking why the WTO shows W= 10.000 P= 10.000  when the CTHRESH definition has Limit 60?

The Policy=00123070 on the WTO can be used to match this alert back to the triggering CTHRESH definition.  On CTHRESH on the far right there is a field named Policy.  Does Policy=00123070 match the definition you show above?  There is also a Count field showing how many times a threshold triggered as PROBLEM.
If this all matches then I'd suggest pursuing via a support case; attach a CAPTURE DIAGCICS and CICS job log to the case.

General info, based on your definition:
TRANRATE is number of transactions per second in the region.  It is calculated and stored each minute. This is a Type SYSTEM threshold (which you cannot change) and is evaluated each minute.  Duration 15 means the tranrate values for the prior 15 minutes will be averaged, and the average is compared to Limit / Warning.

    Hello Doug,
Thank you for your answer, just checked the policy field and there is :

So your recommendation is to change it to 00123070 ? If so, can you give me a hint where to change it, please?
    Thank you.

    Jan,
A threshold triggered and you got the GSVC100W message.  The Policy= value in the message is simply a way for you to determine which threshold definition caused the trigger.  Go to CTHRESH and do a FIND for the policy value to identify the related definition (it is possible to have multiple threshold definitions for the same variable name, so this is how to identify which one it was).  Be aware that the Policy token value for the definitions may change when you recycle the SYSVIEW STC, so if you did recycle SYSVIEW then the Policy= from older WTOs can no longer be matched against the current CTHRESH definitions.
