  • 1.  SYSVIEW Network thresholds by jobname

    Hi,

I was looking to add a threshold to SYSVIEW Network to trigger when the number of connections for a certain job changed.  However, all of the tcp variables appear to be at the system level.  I didn't see a way to add the jobname as a resource to monitor.

    Thoughts?

    -Thanks

On the TCPTHRSH display in the TCPID column you can enter the TCP/IP jobname to make it specific as to the resource to monitor.

As is the case with most of the SYSVIEW displays if you put your cursor on a column heading and hit PF1 it will bring up help for that column.

If you enter the SYSVIEW command VARS and from the resulting display enter on the command line SELECT GROUP EQ TCPIP it will show you the available variables the can be monitored.

Additionally, as an afterthought, if you are wanting to monitor TCP connections at the job level, such as job ACID has 6 TCP socket connections, we currently do not do that at the job level and that should be submitted as an IDEA on this page.
