  • 1.  Allowing passthrough signon to Dataquery in CICS

    Posted Apr 21, 2020 02:12 PM
I have created some new CICS regions and cloned an existing MUF for all the signon info.
DQRY takes me to the signon screen where i have to enter my logon id, but do not need a password.
Our current DQRY regions bypass the signon screen and to be honest, not sure yet how the security is handled.

I have searched the DQRY Admin Guide, CA Support and the web and not found anything useful yet.

Our current version is 14 thus no support from Broadcom, even though we are in the process of upgrading.

Can someone point me to a manual or some idea how to achieve this.

    Thanks,
    Mark Vickers.

    Hi Mark,

For the regions where the DataQuery sign on screen is bypassed I suspect you have DQOPTLST parameter SECINF=YES in place (which picks up the accessor-id from External Security). DQOPTLST is assembled as load module DQSYSTBL so check the DFHRPL concatenation to see where it's picking up that module from.
(If you have CA Sysview, then  command CICS cicsjob;DDLIST DFHRPL;WHERE DQSYSTBL will show it.)

    Cheers,
    Owen
