  • 1.  CICS will not connect to MUF

    We are building a series of application specific MUF's with their own dedicated region.

    I have two up and running and both CICS regions connect fine to their MUF, the third one you would think would be the fastest and smoothest is driving me batty because it will not connect to it's MUF.

    I thought I did the procedure exactly like the other two, ran the B1CICS CSD defs, B1CUS01 for DBCVTPR assembly and B1CUS02 for the DBOC log and Aux trace files, my region has the correct CUSLIB, the B115GRP is in my install LIST, can't think what else I am missing ?

    Hi Mark, can you successfully run DBOC STARTUP in the region? If so,
    then you need to set up the PLT startup/shutdown entries.

    Aha, here's a clue: DBOC STARTUP gave me this:
    DC00130C COMPONENTS OF THE SERVICE FACILITY ARE NOT ON THE SAME RELEASE DBCVTPR REL = 14.0 DCCOCPR REL = 15.1

    Reassembled DBCVTPR with the right libraries and it is now connecting.
