CDC from Datacom to midrange

Hi,

I have just found out there is a project here looking at CDC but with a target out there in the midrange world.
So my understanding of Datacom's CDC is that it is only Datacom to Datacom?

Has anyone any thoughts on using CDC from Datacom to midrange? or is there an alternate approach?

The project wants the data to be as near real-time as we can get it.

Long time :-)

Once the log data is in the CDC base in Datacom, it can be processed and sent anywhere. The key is the application/software that does the processing of that data. In our case we use Informatica software to get the data to Oracle systems, but I guess you could write your own tool to do the same, or to some other target.
