  • 1.  Change email address, part xx

    Posted Dec 17, 2019 01:54 PM
I've got two accounts in each the login ID is the same as the mailing address (the different email for each account)
Both emails are going to expire fairly soon.
So I need to change them.

In my profile there is a section contact details. When I open I get to edit contact details and the first item is email address.
    Next to that is change.
When I click change it starts asking for password.
    What might the password be?
It is not the one I use to login to the communities.

So how do I change my email in contact details? I should not mind changing the email address ID I use to log in either.

    Hi Martti,

The password will be your OKTA password but if you have access to site-specific information (you registered for CA Support) then the option to update your email address is not on CA Support Online for security reasons. We strongly recommend creating a new account with your new email address. Please let us know if you have any other concerns.

    Hello Heena,
    Thank you for your response.
What is an OKTA password and do I have one?
As far as I understand I do not have access to any site-specific information.
I have had some ten to twenty ID's to access CA Support but not any for the past ten years.

If I create a new account (another again) then I assume I lose everything associated to my current profiles including the learning history.

Please advice what might be the best approach to proceed.
