Can't find Tech docs with search

    When I go to Clarity PPM product information and search for a Tech Doc it is not found


    but if I know the id of the Tech Doc no problem opening it directly.


    Is this because of my rights or something else?

    Thank you for highlighting this.

    If you notice, the product name Clarity On Premise is NOT one of the products listed on this article. Hence, you couldn't find it under "Product Information" section on the portal.

    We edited the article and added Clarity on Premise and it should be found now.

    Please note that the product name "Clarity on Premise" was NOT one of the products listed on this article. Hence you were unable to find it under "Product Information" section on the portal.

    Thank you for your response.
    That certainly explains it.

    However, it illustrates the problem as well.
    As you can see for that product there are about five KB articles listed.

    In the CA KB there were some 2500..
    Are they gonna be tagged with the "Clarity on Premise" product?

    In your post the image did not come out properly.

    Another thing with KB articles are the links. Eg. in
    https://ca-broadcom.wolkenservicedesk.com/external/article?articleId=14961
    There is a link at the end of the doc to another doc. Apparently the first doc title and ID was modified when the Tec Docs were turned into KB articles.
    The link has only the Tec doc ID but no name and I cannot find any way to find that doc.

    Can you?

    Hello Martti, 

    For #1: If you are searching for a KB article using Product Information page, it will only show you the KB docs or articles which are mapped correctly with the product name. It might not give you all the articles and this is because the product name is not on those documents. Our engineers are working on it and will do a one time update in a few weeks. 

    Meantime, if you do not find any KB document on product information page, suggest you to use search bar on casupport.broadcom.com for KB documents as shown in the screenshot below:

    For #2: We did change the URL structure when we migrated systems on June 3rd.
    The previous URL included the title of the KB article like this:
    And now we just have the KB number like this:
    The links should still work through redirection.
