    The second Mid-Atlantic Security User Group (MASUG) meeting was held at the CA Ewing, NJ R&D development center on Thursday, May 15th, 2014. When compared to the November 14, 2013 meeting, we saw a 38% increase in headcount (29) as well as a 45% increase in the number of individual sites (16) that participated.  Highlights from this meeting include;

    • Presentations given on data loss prevention, implementing z/OS 2.1, recent updates regarding technical information, Ideation announcement/discussion as well as a presentation on CSM 6.0.
    • Several opportunities for attendees to network with each other as well as various members of the CA mainframe security teams.
    • Live high definition video/audio feed during the breakout session with many of the ACF2 R&D customer support, Sustaining engineering, Quality assurance and development teams located in the Chicago, Il area.

    The next MASUG meeting is tentatively scheduled for October, 2014. The October meeting will likely be held at a customer site in Mid-town Manhattan, NY. We have multiple members that have submitted interest in giving presentations at future user group meetings. At the October meeting, we expect one or two customer presentations to be given on current mainframe security challenges. If you have any questions regarding this or future meetings please email or call me.

    Thanks,

    Paul
