Subject: General Availability Announcement for Enhancement to include Deadlock Statistics in the PMIM SMF Statistics Record

On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions and new features of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce our latest enhancement which adds deadlock statistics to the PMIM SMF statistics record (default 230).

New Statistics were added to the #PMRUSDS DSECT:

    • Total Deadlocks - The number of deadlocks for the interval
    • Total Deadlock Victims - The number of tasks selected as victims in order to resolve the deadlock

This change enables other products or services to incorporate deadlock information into database monitoring solutions.

Note: The DSECT was not extended. Reserved fields were used at the end. The version of the DSECT was updated as well (RUS$VER set to RUSVER2).

To learn more, please visit our New Features section in TechDocs.
