    Issue:
    After being copied from a PDS to a PDSE with IEBCOPY or similar utility, some older cobol II programs may not load successfully.

    Trying to load the program with LOOK gets this:
    IDMSLOOK - Failed Trying To Load Module program-name - Reason Code 08

    At run-time, the following message is seen:
    DC028001 V60 T2593 TASK:ADS2 PROG:program-name; VERSION OF COBOL COMPILER IS NOT RECOGNIZABLE
    Environment:
    CA IDMS all supported releases.
    Cause:
    This is an IBM problem.
    It can also happen with cobol ii programs that have no link to IDMS.
    Resolution:
    IBM APAR OA56667.
