After 42 years of working with IDMS, 38 of those with Cullinet/CA/Broadcom I will be retiring at the end of this week.

I have always been proud that IDMS had the highest customer satisfaction rating within CA and I know the current organization is committed to continuing that tradition.

It has certainly been an interesting experience over the years and I have had the opportunity to meet many of you at conferences and onsite visits.  I have appreciated all of the support I received and the friendships that were established both within the U.S. and internationally.

Best of luck with your future endeavors with IDMS.

    Dick,

I remember the first time I met you.... fall 1985 at User Week in Los
Angeles.?? I'm there as a user, first conference in my life.?? I remember
2 things from the conference... the Beach Boys at the Event Night, and
your class on ADS.?? I don't actually remember much of the content of the
class itself, but I remember sitting in this long narrow room with an
instructror with short blond hair waiting for to start his
presentation.?? Somebody from the hotel walks in and asks him if he
needed a microphone, and you answer nope, you have a loud voice that
    carries!?? True!

It's been a real pleasure working with you over the years Dick, and on
behalf of the IUA, I thank you for your dedication to the IDMS product
line, the IDMS users and for all your help at our conferences over the
    years !

On a personal note, have fun, enjoy life, bike away!?? Good news: you
won't ever have to justify not going on a business trip on a game night !

If you ever come to Montreal, please give me a call, we'll have a beer!

    Laura

    Hi Dick,

I'll always remember your comment  at the Breckinridge Ski Resort Restaurant after our waitress walked away; "Well, she won't wear that dress any more" and what I perceived as my IQ Test in following your directions to get to your house from the CA Lisle Office.

Thanks for all the good memories and for always being there to help and especially thank you for leaving IDMSDBMS and IDMSDBIO in such good shape!

Best Wishes for a well-deserved retirement!

    Hello dick,
I would first like to thank you for the opportunity I had to meet you and then thank you for the opportunities I have had in exchanging information and knowledge about IDMS with you during all these years. I hope Broadcom will get someone with their level of knowledge to continue with their work. desire of heart, much success, peace and tranquility in his retirement. A big hug from the friend here in Brazil and, if you want to come and visit me, you'll have my support here. Congratulations and good luck.

    Dick,
I wish you much happiness in your retirement.  Lord knows, after putting up with all of us over the years, you certainly deserve it.  It's hard to believe we've all come this far since the Cullinet days.  I've learned a lot from you since then, and you were always patient with me as I attempted to pick your brain.  I also enjoyed listening to your presentations over the years as you know.  You have been a great mentor to all of us.

We all owe you a great debt of gratitude, and you will be truly missed.

    -Rikki
