Broadcom is looking to re-establish the Workload Automation CA 7 User Group and we would like your feedback.

The idea would be to host a virtual (Webex) meeting once a quarter in addition to an in-person gathering during the annual Technical Exchange in Plano, TX.

Here's an agenda example of what we could cover in the virtual meeting:

    1. Updates to CA7 from Product Management
    2. "How to" topic (based on input from Communities)
    3. Session from a Customer
    4. Questions / Closing

Is the community interested? Please tell us your ideas, questions and/or concerns.

    Thanks

I love the idea.  I hated it when the last one went away.  I think in this day and age a (webex) meeting is great.  We don't usually have a lot of time to get away for a day or more but being able to sit at our desk and be there when my company needs me but able to see and learn something new or even a new perspective is a good thing. I'm willing to help where I can.

You know that I love this idea, @Mark Warren

We can do the virtual event right here in the global community -- that's what it's for. Just let me know and I'm happy to do all of the logistics for you.

The in-person portion at the MTE sounds great!

Great idea, I would love to attend in person but virtual is the next best thing.

Well, since we got SO much interaction on this question here.... What do you think about sending out an email to all the CA7 users. For some reason (that I'm at least hopping will change with the new generation), mainframe people just seem to have a problem with groups using a PC. *g

    Renate,

As I'm sure you can guess, I think it's a great idea.

Post-migration to the new community platform, we have struggled a bit to get our membership and engagement back to where they were before the move to Broadcom. Any suggestions you have to reinvigorate the community would be greatly appreciated!

Basically what I said before. Make up a letter/note saying good things about the community and have Broadcom send the letter to ALL companies and people that they have that have CA7. I realize it might be a bit of an effort and money to send out notices but considering the mainframe mentality, I think it would be the only way to really get to all the people/companies. I know the few of us that are here and post are good people that are willing to help out anyone... but more people with more knowledge would be GREAT.
