  • 1.  How to resolve 80% SCRATCH QUEUE UTILIZATION

    Hi All ,

     

    Alert:

    CA-7.306 - ** WARNING ** 80% SCRATCH QUEUE UTILIZATION  ** WARNING **.

     

    How to resolve this issue when we receive the alert,bcoz every time we have been informing MVS team

    There appear to be messages queued to the above terminals and this takes tracks from the scratch queue.  To delete these queue messages, do:

    /PURGEPG,T=C7Q001  

     

    for each of the terminals.  It is also strongly recommended that you do ERST type starts of CA7ONL to clear any queued messages (see the CA 7 Best Practices Guide).

     

    You can also do a DMPQ type shutdown of CA 7 (/SHUTDOWN,Z5) -- make sure you get the message QUEUES SUCCESSFULLY UNLOADED and then you can enlarge the scratch queue and then do a MOVQ type start of CA7ONL (making sure to get the   QUEUES SUCCESSFULLY LOADED message).
