  • 1.  Setting up an agent cluster

    Has anyone here set up a VIP/GTM in front a multiple Windows servers using a common shared drive?  We would install agent on the shared drive.  The idea is we eliminate single point of failure for agent.  Thanks.

    Here we have a couple of scenarios,,
    • One agent is installed on a common shared drive and the manager definition uses a dns address, not a dotted address of the box.
    • For a two-server environ behind a VIP, an agent is installed on each server with the same communication.alias_1 agent name in both the agentparm.txt files. The manager definition includes agent1 and address, agent2 and address, and the alias_agent name with the VIP address. The APPL jobs use the alias agent name.
