  • 1.  Limit on SAP job spool

    ​We have scheduled SAP_JOB with CA WA EE 11.4 agent. We have added SPOOLRECIPIENT to send the SAP job spool output in email.
    What we have observed is, when the spool output is limited, we are getting it as text body content in email.
    Otherwise, we are getting it in ftp link saying "Your report output is too large to send by email".

    Is there any limit in size or number of rows or pages with spool to send in email ?

    Hi Santhosh,

    This is limited by following SAP specific parm in agentparm.txt:

    sap.max.buffer.size.bytes
    Specifies the maximum size of the buffer that is transferred in an AFM to the scheduling manager. Files greater than this size use the FTP plug-in. We recommend using the default buffer size.
    Default: 20480 (20 KB)

    Note: the default value of 20KB has been chosen because if manager (like ESP) is on mainframe it can not handle more than 24K. In other words, it will also be limited by the AFM sent to ESP.
