  • 1.  How do I display workdays for a given year?

    Posted Nov 24, 2015 01:32 PM

I've run a command in Workload Automation Workstation before that displays all of the workdays in a given year.    I can't remember the command and I can not find any references online.    What command would display all workdays for 2016?

The command will display the workdays like this example from 2015:

    00.00.00 FRIDAY JANUARY 2ND, 2015, DAY 002

    00.00.00 MONDAY JANUARY 5TH, 2015, DAY 005

    00.00.00 TUESDAY JANUARY 6TH, 2015, DAY 006

    Anyone know the command?

    Hi Brian,

What version of Autosys are you currently using?

    Thanks, Jameela

    Hi Jameela,

I'm using CA Workload Automation Workstation EE version 11.3.  I'm not sure how that relates to Autosys.

    Thanks!

Brian -- were you able to fix your issue on your own? Could you come back and let us know how you did it?

    Hi Lenn,

I still have not found the command that I used in the LMI View in Workload Director to query all of the workdays for a year.   I did find an alternative.   If you go to Event Manager and then select 'Test schedule criteria' from the Actions tab I was able to do the following to get workdays in the year:

    1) Click on the 3-periods box to the right of the schedule criteria box to get the Schedule Criteria Editor.  (You can only select up to 99 cycles if you don't go into the editor)

    2) Type in WORKDAY under the schedule criteria and select the Test button

    3) Key in the # of days you want under 'Number of cycles' and hit Test

    4) Event manager will return the list of workdays corresponding to the criteria I entered

    Hope that helps!

    -Brian

    Thanks, Brian!

Maybe Jameela_Hudson might have another suggestion as well.

    Hi Lenn,

Brian is using ESP and not Autosys. I'm not sure if his question should be moved to a different community space but, for sure, another engineer should be addressing his question.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Jameela. I'll choose ESP as the category and update the tags. We'll see if we can get someone else to chime in. Thanks again!

    Brian,

In the Workstation LMI mode it is possible to enter the command below to display the Workdays. It is the same as the one in the panel and displays the NEXT xx occurrences

    TEST (260) WORKDAYS  STARTING JAN 1 2016

The documentation can be found on the TEST command in the "Command Reference Guide"
