When setting up external security rules, it is sometimes necessary after activating external security to switch back to internal security while correcting problems with the security rules.
Changing SECURITY=EXTERNAL to SECURITY=INIT and running the SARINIT job to store the new value in the
CA View database is all that is needed. The log off and then back on to the online panels.
When SECURITY=INIT, no calls are made to the external security product and the SECID and SECLIST initialization parameters are ignored. All access to reports is now based on Access Mode (ALL, SAR, SARO, EXP and EXPO).
To switch back to external security, change SECURITY=INIT to SECURITY=EXTERNAL and run the SARINIT job to store the new value in the database.
