    CA View backup tapes are written with proprietary control block format and cannot be
    read by any utility other than CA View's. The Tape Management System has no idea

    what is actually contained within the tape. Tape Management System just knows the

    tape by the data sets name by which it was cataloged the CA View started task. 

     

    The DCB attributes for the tape data sets are:
    RECFM=VB
    LRECL=32756
    BLKSIZE=32760
