    Is anybody using a federated query tool in association with WSO?  If so, which tool and what has your experience been like?

     

    We currently have search objects going to three different DB2 regions, two SQL Server databases, and one MS Access database.  It would benefit our users if we could use a federated query tool to combine the results of queries to different regions/RDBMS into a single result set that would be put into WSO.

    Hi Mark,

    While doing some research into this I came across an IBM product 'IBM Federation Server' that runs on a distributed machine.    There was apparently a tool at one time called 'IBM Classic Federation Server' that ran solely on z/OS.     Will continue researching and will report back with my findings.  I am hoping to get something like this setup here so I try it out.
