Who out there is using CAP and what is the max number you allow?

We use it and we have SPAWNCNT=8 and SPAWNMAX=25.

John,

SPAWNCNT=3 and SPAWNMAX=6.
Non-termination of spawns used to cause us problems especially as they held onto resources and killed our housekeeping. That issue is all fixed now.
I do think that work needs to be performed on the understanding of the STC and priority it is given vs your "standard" batch.

Hi John,

We activated CAP when it first became available and use it in a controlled manner extensively (authorized personnel and OPC Only)
Our default Spawn Count is 5 and the MAX Spawn Count is 10

We often have 2 or 3 jobs executing and each one spawning 10 Started Tasks can put a bit of stress on the system.
We have our ENDEVOR Started Tasks on a slightly higher Performance Group :)
