    On Endevor panels:

    C1SF1000 - ADD/UPDATE ELEMENTS

    C1SF3000 - GENERATE ELEMENTS

    There is an attribute set

    # TYPE(&VARTAUTG) INTENS(&VARIAUTG) CAPS(ON) JUST(LEFT)

Was there a plan to use this for protection of the AUTOGEN feature or can someone from CA explain why it exists?

    Steve

That attribute is used for fields related to the Autogen feature, which is only allowed in batch actions executed outside package processing.

The endevor dialog happens to use the same panel to capture action parameters regardless of how the action is going to be processed (foreground, batch or package).

In order to save panel interactions with the user, we use these ISPF variables to set the field attributes so that autogen can be requested only when the action is going to run in non-package batch mode.

    Hope this helps

    Eduard,

Thanks for replying - yes of course - which is why it says (BATCH ONLY) on the foreground panel.

It kind of does make sense- just looks terrible .
