On behalf of CA Technologies, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly announce updated releases and maintenance for our products. Today, we are pleased to announce the availability of CA Gen 8.5 Interim Enhancement 1.
After the release of CA Gen Release 8.5, several new features were introduced as PTFs:
- Proxy generation support for UNIX/HP CSE and UNIX/AIX CSE
- Model Preferences and Model Unlock features
- Toolset Ease of Use enhancements
- Support for Enterprise COBOL 5
CA Gen 8.5 Interim Enhancement 1 consolidates the above features, all earlier PTFs (except on z/OS where individual PTFs must be installed) and adds the following new features:
- Inline Code
- Web Service Consumption
These are documented in the Release Notes and the CA_Gen_8.5_PTF_Document.pdf (available with the download of the Interim Enhancement).
CA Gen 8.5 Interim Enhancement 1 is only available via electronic download from https://support.ca.com/ as PTFs for the Mainframe and Windows/UNIX/Linux platforms.
