  • 1.  z/OS REXX BCPii running in OSF

    Hello,

IBM now provide a native TSO and System REXX, REXX interface into the z/OS BCPii. I am wondering if this is also supposed to work in OPS/MVS OSF servers?

And if it is, is there anything in addition to what IBM provide in the samples for it, to get it running in OSF?

    Thanks
    Mark

Yes you can run native TSO rexx in an OSF server, as it is just a TSO address space.   You cannot run system rexx in an OSF server however.   Also we do not provide any samples for IBM's address BCPII in TSO rexx.

Security comes into play for address BCPII TSO/E host commands,  and the OSF server would have to be using a USERID with the appropriate authorization.   OPS/MVS parameters such as OSFSECURITY,  OSFPRODUCT, and OSFCONSOLE  are involved in determining which userid is used in an OSF server.
