  • 1.  Using OPSLOG Extract for Restored OPSLOGs

    Posted Sep 13, 2018 11:07 AM

Has anyone used the OPSLOG Extract to scan restored OPSLOG data sets?  I'm able to scan the active live OPSLOG for information, but want to know if the same can be performed for an OPSLOG that has been restored using the OPSVIEW Panel Options 7.1.3.

    Thanks in advance,

      Steve

    Steve,

you would have to take the additional step of allocating that 7.1.3 restored data set name back into a logname from the Opsview panel 4.13 OPSLOG Control. From this panel you can using the New command, can define a logname and input the 7.1.3 restored data set as the Opslog DSNAME. After you define this you would have to Activate that new logname and once that becomes active, you can then use the OPSLOG() Expanded format utilizing the Logname keyword!

    Best Regards,
