In my opinion, OPS/MVS WebCenter was a great addition to the OPS/MVS product. It provides a great centralized location to monitor SSM tables and alerts. It also ties in very nicely with the way we manage alerts created by OPS/MVS. We currently have a process within OPS/MVS which creates, updates severity, and closes alerts generated by OPS/MVS. With just a few additional lines of code and the "Address NetMastr" command within a standard exec we use, we can create, update, and close those alerts within WebCenter.
I would like to see a mechanism to do the reverse...this functionality may already exist. For example, if an alert is closed and/or updated on WebCenter by a user, an API or MSG event (for example) would be automatically generated on the system that it applies too. This event could then be processed by OPS/MVS rules.
If this functionality already exists, can someone provide some details on how to accomplish this?
Thanks
