Per IBM’s APAR OA48940, data returned to SAPI requests may be incorrect.
It has been confirmed that parts of our CA Spool product, specifically the SAPI File Transfer Interface (XFER) feature, may be affected.
The primary symptom is that files with like attributes that are eligible to be combined into a single CA Spool file are created as multiple separate files.
IBM has created specific maintenance to resolve the underlying problem. When contacting IBM ask for IBM APAR OA48940:

Be aware that IBM has to be contacted to confirm the IBM APAR number and applicable PTFs for your specific z/OS system level.
There is no circumvention to mitigate the reported problem other than to install the maintenance recommended by IBM.
