  • 1.  CA WA Workstation - UNIX Jobs - divergence of time

    Posted Sep 19, 2018 11:00 AM

    Hello everyone, everything good?
I have a problem with CA WA Workstation.
All UNIX jobs, at the end of execution when clicking "Details", are 3 to less than the current mainframe time in the "Status", "Start Time" and "End Time" fields.
    In advance grateful,

    Rômulo

I won't speak to workstation explicitly, but it was my understanding that the times you see reflected on distributed jobs such as unix_jobs is the time of day on the unix box itself.  If the unix box time is a little off than the mainframe's clock then you'd see such a disparity.   Can you log onto the unix box and check if it's date/time is exact to what the mainframe reflects via tso time  ??

    Hi Romulo and Michael,

This problem is now solved. The LOCAL timezone in the MASTER and PROXY ESPPARM was set to:

    TIMEZONE 0  LOCAL    3W      SYSZONE(YES)

Changing the LOCAL TIMEZONE in both ESPPARMs (MASTER and PROXY) to 0 solved this problem:

    TIMEZONE 0  LOCAL    0      SYSZONE(YES)

    Regards,

    Mario
