To ensure that your SMP/E environments does not contain unneeded received maintenance, you can configure CA MSM to reject the maintenance that was received but not applied during the wizard execution. After you have navigated through the wizards steps and the maintenance task has completed successfully, CA MSM rejects the received but not applied maintenance that is not directly associated with the maintenance that you have applied.
To configure CA MSM to reject the maintenance that was received but not applied during the wizard execution, follow these steps:
- Click the Settings tab, and click the Software Installation link under System Settings.
- In the Maintenance Installation section, select the Reject Received Maintenance check box.
