Did you know SYSVIEW gives you the ability to do a z/OS PTF Analysis?
This shows you which z/OS PTFs have been applied and details, like the PTF description. (more details here)
What does this have to do with Gen?
This SYSVIEW feature is dependent on a tracking element in each Gen z/OS PTF. Going forward all Gen z/OS PTFs will automatically have a tracking element, but we needed to add it to prior PTFs for Gen 8.6 on z/OS.
What do I need to do?
To take full advantage of SYSVIEW's PTF Analysis feature, you will need to install the following:
- Gen's z/OS PTFs, see "PTF Tracking Element Level Set", LU04591 to LU04600
- SYSVIEW's LU03153
