Hi,
Under the aforementioned system configuration, after running for a period of time, Windows exhibits the following anomalies:
- The
Task View button on the taskbar disappears or flickers abnormally, and window buttons fail to display text.
- Icons in the system tray area at the far right of the taskbar vanish, and hovering the mouse over this area produces a raised or indented visual effect.
The only way to resolve this issue is to restart the system.
Additional information:
- This same system, when installed and run for extended periods under
Hyper-V 12.0 (Hyper-V Manager version: 10.0.26100.7019), shows no abnormalities whatsoever.
- During the day, VMware Workstation is used daily, and at night, the Windows 11 system is put into hibernation, only to be awakened again during the day. This cycle repeats continuously. The aforementioned anomalies typically occur after about
3 to 4 days.
If you need any logs, please let me know how to extract them, and I'll upload them for you.

VMware Workstation 17.6.3 occasionally encounters a blue screen (OxD1) when installing Windows 11: what's the cause of the failure with vm3dmp.sys?
The error message is as follows:
Frequency of occurrence: It happens once every few hours., depending on software operation.

Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart.
We're just collecting some error info, and then you can restart.
100% complete
Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (OxD1)
What failed: vm3dmp.sys
VMware Workstation Version:
- Product: VMware Workstation 17 Pro
- Version: 17.6.3build-24583834
- Windows Version: Windows 11 25H2
Some articles suggest disabling 3D acceleration or adding the configuration "guestInfo.svga.wddm.enableGDIHW="FALSE"" to prevent the blue screen. If I don't want to disable 3D acceleration, how can I resolve this issue?
