    Subject:  General Availability Announcement for CA BSI Service Insight Patches

     

    On behalf of CA Technologies, A Broadcom Company, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce that CA Business Service Insight 8.3.5.5 is a patch update for CA Business Service Insight 8.3.5 and above. This patch contains:

     

    • CA Business Service Insight (CA BSI) patch to replace Adobe Flash Player. This patch ensures that your usage of CA Business Service Insight is not impacted due to end of support for Adobe® Flash® from respective browsers after December 31st, 2020.
    • Windows Server 2019 with Oracle 19c Certification: Install CA BSI 8.3.5.5 to configure CA BSI with Oracle 19c Server/Client.
    • Windows Server 2019 Certification: To install CA BSI App/WebServer on Windows 2019 without replacing the database server, you can install CA BSI 8.3.5.4.0.
    • Defect Fixes post-CA BSI Cumulative Patch 8.3.5.4. For more information, see Fixed Issues 8.3.5.5

    For customers who are not upgrading to Oracle 19c but wish to remove Adobe Flash Player, please use the patch with the name "8.3.5_FlashReplacement.zip". You can download your copy of the patch from here. The relevant documentation is available here.

    I work for a T1/VAD Parner and we are looking for information about CA BSI.

    We need to know SKU / SAP ID of CA Business Service Insight, to add to out product list

    May we have the roadmap of CA BSI?

    Known Issue (Fixed)

    Problem: The Memory leak issue is observed for PslWriter services if Oracle 19c client 32-bit (NT_193000_client) base version is installed.

    Resolution: The above issue is now resolved with the latest Oracle 19c 32-bit client patch (p31247621_190000_WINNT.zip) provided by Oracle. Download the patch from the Oracle patch site as specified below, and follow the installation instructions shared in the patch readme. For further details, refer to TechDocs.
