  • 1.  BSTXCOPY and Global Type Sequencing

I think I'm confused about something to do with BSTXCOPY. When I run it on our local system, I have no problem. Suddenly, one of the

Remote systems I'm running it on (which worked fine in the past) is now failing on not finding the Global Type Sequencing member. First of
all - why on earth does it need that to copy members from one library to another? Second, why can't it find the type sequence member hat it
had no problem with in the past? Any ideas anyone?

Global type sequence member is required for release 18.0. Were you running BSTXCOPY with prior releases ? The following explains the requirements for running BSTXCOPY on a remote location:

You can just have a dummy (empty) global type sequence member. It isn't required to be accurate, it just needs a member that exists.
