Issue comes as part of cumulative updates.  Test thorougly before rolling out.  We saw it affect our VMware 2008 R2 servers (create new NICs set up for DHCP and wiped out our static IPs).  Others are reporting issues with win7 machines, too.

    More info here

Microsoft response with vbscript to help with issue.

MS providing script to run before installing update, hopefully all of this will be corrected with April update, I guess. I was hoping they would have re-released by now

MS released kb4099950 to address the NIC issue that was presented in March rolloup/security updates (KB4088875 and KB4088878).  Unfortunately it has to be installed prior to KB4088875 and KB4088878 to help the issue.

    More info:

I don't see it as of PMImport 7.3.71.  I put a ticket in with support asking or ETA and also if the patch intelligence will be updated so that the march rollup and security only update (KB4088875 and KB4088878) will require this as required before installing so our clients don't lose NIC settings.  Will report back as I have more info.

Pmimport 7.3.72 includes MSNS18-03-4099950 but it doesn't seem to be a pre requisite for March MR/SO.  I'd try pushing it first if you can, or wait for April updates
