  • 1.  Policy not executing in client machines

    I cloned the inventory policy and scheduled  to run on client machines. In resource manager policy is showing but not executing.

    When i initiate the basic inventory task and full inventory it is completing successfully.

    But policy are not executing getting in below errors

      <![CDATA[StartService('AeXNSClient'): Failed to open Service Control Manager, error 0x00000005 (Access is denied)]]>

      <![CDATA[getNewRulesFromWeb() error - HTTP status: 404. Invalid data received in HTTP response. Expected 1245 bytes, received 0]]>

    Any suggestions will be great helpful

    Hi,

    Looks like policy has some task in it which should restart Altiris Agent service. It appears policy executed under the user that don't have rights to access services and restart task fails. As far as I know default inventory tasks do not include restart, so they work fine. Review "Advansed -> Run Options"settings of the inventory policy - probably if you will specify user with admin rights there when it will work.
