  • 1.  Network zones

    Good %GreetingTime% %UserName%,

    Does anyone have good advice for a noob on how to setup the servers so you can see what network zone they belong to?

    As an example two zones could be DMZ, and Corporate.

    I want to only see servers in the DMZ.

    I notice that for any locations that I have setup that are linked to a subnet, that when I open the 'Resource Manager associations', that I can see the corresponding network zone. However, for the servers that have no linked subnets to locations, I can't see their corresponding zones.

    You could create an organizational view for DMZ and another for Corporate, and then create organizational groups within those views to meet your needs.  Security roles would then be targeted at the views or even at one or more grous within those views.

    I have been considering this as an option.

    Is this how you have done it?

    Is there a way to set it up automatically though - through an automation policy?
