  • 1.  Issue with Package Server

    I have a Client which is trying to downlaod a software from a specific Package Server, however it is just "retrying" but the same package from another Package Server is successfully able to deploy the package.

    Not sure what can be the reason.

    Another issue is, a group of systems who have already downloaded a Patch (Installed through Software Delivery) a year back is again downloading the same package.

    Please assist

    Try running a package fresh from the NS and an update config on the PS.

    Regarding 1 issue: try to check the Agent's log to find out why the package is retrying. There could be several reasons.

    Regarding 2 issue: If package is downloaded by SMF plug-in, the binary files could be deleted from the disk after some timespan which is regulated by policy settings. Check the settings and turn automatic deletion of files for packages off, if you intend to hold them on disk for long periods of time.
