  • 1.  DLP agent visible on Endpoint

    This version of DLP Endpoint Agent 14.5.01 (MP1) add support for Chome and the Chrome extension is visible on the browser interface (see the below image).

    Is it possible to hide this extension in the endpoint interface?

    Hello,<o:p></o:p>

     

    If you do a righ-click on the DLP addon .ico you should be able to hide it pressing "hide in chrome menu".<o:p></o:p>

    In case that's not working, I would recommend to reinstall the agent with the Chrome closed to ensure the DLP addon for Chrome is correctly installed.<o:p></o:p>

     

    Anyway, if the end-user opens the Addons tab will see that the DLP addon is installed. Won't be able to uninstall it though.<o:p></o:p>

    Thank you, Morgado!

    The right-click option is not an option for a silent, hidden deployment of the DLP Agent.

    Also, I could not control the open/close status of the Chrome in a large deployment. You suggest that this addon is not correctly installed? How can be tested/discovered a incorrect installation in a large deployment?

    Well.. that's a different subject. AFAIK won't be possible to enfoce the icon to be automatically hidden after the installation (it's up to the end user hide to it or not t from the bar).

    Nevertheless, as said before, the DLP/Symantec addon will be listed in the Chrome addons installed.
